Hannah, Since Hannah’s first month birthday, 6 months ago, I’ve been visiting her on a monthly basis to capture her milestones, her small kid victories, her growing hair, her beautiful personality. I visited her this past Monday and had to share some of my favorites from our session. Happy 7 months Hannah!
Last night I had a photo-shoot with a fellow local photographer, Jill Renton. Jill kindly referred a couple to me for their wedding, and I wanted to thank her somehow for that!
It was fun to shoot and talk shop, she has two adorable off the track Standardbred horses, Klint and Billy, and the most amazing backdrop for pictures. It was a blast! I’ve only edited a few, but here they are.

Watch your arse for those rocks and their sneak attacks, be sure to bring along your cooler!
I’ve been lucky with out of the having the opportunity to shoot weddings out side this summer, it’s a growing trend, and I Love it.
Here’s a few images from Jess and Brandon’s Beach Theme wedding. The small ceremony and reception was at the Meenan’s Cove Beach The bride and her closest friends got ready at her parents beautiful home.

I was honored to be featured on the Halifax Broads busy Blog post in July. She’s a witty, edgy, and talented writer from…yep, Halifax, and I was honored to have her “do me” on her blog. Here’s a link to her write up on my work The Halifax Broad

I had a number of amazing shoots this past month, but one in particular stands out. I spent some alone time with a wonderful herd of horses on the Marsh at Broadleaf Guest Ranch. The lesson horses and the trail horses head out after their last job of the day, they are free to be with a herd of cattle until it’s time to come in for breakfast in the morning. I went out with them in the evening and then back out the next morning for sun up. I came out with some pretty powerful images of horses, just being horses. It’s nice to see them in their natural element after seeing them banded and braided and polished for their shows. This is an experience that will stay with me forever, some intense moments of interaction with individuals in the herd.
The pictures included here are from the shoot at Broadleaf.
Stay tuned for the update on being Hung….a new and very exciting adventure for me c:
I’ve always dreamed of doing a beach wedding, and was blessed to have that dream come true a few weeks ago. It was amazing. I spent the day with Meaghan and her 9 girls getting ready, and popped in on Sheldon and his boys, then back to capture the final details with Meaghan, and then followed them to the beach. It was like something out of a story book . The sun was shining, the water glistening, A more beautiful couple would be hard to find. Thank you for Making my dream come true Meaghan and Sheldon!
It has been busy, with questionable weather, changing moment by moment, it’s been challenging to have shoots set up, without also setting up a “rain date” One in particular was changed 3 times! But turned out amazing, and was worth the wait, lovely pony in the buttercups @ Double Diamond Stables in Irishtown NB.
8×8
Doesn’t seems like a large space does it. I mean, if someone tried to sell me a space that size to store things in, I would pass it by, it’s too small. Any room that size is barely worth the waste of walls. BUT. When I have to fill an 8×8 booth with content about me, and my business….well it’s like trying to fill the sea with an eye dropper. I have so many different ideas, all of them won’t fit, so I have to find a way to make what I need to fit, without being over the top, and gawdy. I want to stand out, but in a god way! I want to look well presented, I want to look, together (as I loose my mind on the inside) Maybe I’ll just bring along my whole office, desk, imac and hard drives and put up a plexiglass barrier at the entrance, and people can just watch what it is I do, after I take their pictures!!!
Come and see how i made out. I’ll be at the Princess Louise Show Park on Saturday & Sunday, May 2 and 3. Barn 3 ( I believe) for the Equine Review.
Look for a cool Space, a unique way to view what I have to offer.
If you can’t make it there, please at least pray that the prints that I ordered are here in time… cause if they arrive on Monday, it’s going to be too late!
